28th January
This week, we'll start learning about Spring. Our sensory story this week will be Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. We'll explore the different colours and smells in Spring.
As well as seasons, this week we're going to talk about our families. Remember to send in a picture of your families to share with everyone in Red Class.
In the Spring term we will be learning all about seasons and the weather. Until the 25th January we'll be learning all about the weather in Winter. Every day we'll look at the weather and decide which clothes our Monkey will wear. We think he might be wearing his hat, scarf and gloves for a while!
21st January
This is our last week looking at Winter, and they've even forecast some real snow! This week we'll explore ice and make some snowflake pictures.
14th January
This week we will be reading Tiger in the Snow! by Nick Butterworth. We'll watch some videos of real tigers playing in the snow. They are very silly! In our story we'll get to feel a soft, snowy blanket and watch as all the animals clamber onto the sledge.
7th January
This week we're reading That's Not My Snowman by Fiona Watt and Rachel Wells. We'll get to try on the snowman's hat, scarf and gloves and feel their textures until we find the perfect snowman!
This half term we've explored colours. We looked at red, blue and yellow.
