Children attending Ridgeway School require augmented and modified curriculum opportunities which vary according to the individual needs of each pupil. These opportunities include modification of the National Curriculum, Entry Pathway courses, mobility activities and a sensory experiential curriculum.
Ridgeway School continually develops its communication work so that pupils may access their curriculum opportunities and learning in a way personalised to their needs.
We have a commitment to high quality teaching and learning and the provision of a caring and supportive environment for all our pupils delivered through a stimulating and individually appropriate curriculum.
We follow the Jolly Phonics and Letters and Sounds schemes of work when teaching phonics. Pupil reading books are aligned to the phonics phase that they are working on. However, in light of the Government updated phonics validation scheme and criteria for teaching phonics, we are in the process of reviewing our phonics teaching and books schemes.
If you have any further questions relating to our curriculum, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com. Thank you.
