Some students from Lower and Upper Post 16 took part in a photography competition organised by the 'Creating Memories' charity in conjunction with Fuji Film on the theme of 'Joy'. All the entries were amazing and received a special certificate but our overall winner was Carys, who won a digital camera for Post 16, with special mentions for Lene, Irfanul, Brooke and Zack. Well done everyone.
Lower Post 16 have been looking at the work of the artist Kandinsky. We experimented with colour mixing then created our own abstract artworks. What can you see in our paintings and can you spot the real Kandinsky?!
Please take a look at our Careers page on the website to see the exciting work we have been doing with staff from Job Centre Plus.
Upper and Lower Post 16 have been working hard to create a sequence for a dance routine that will be used as part of the UDance festival in March. Both Post 16 classes have been learning the moves with a dance choreographer and filmmaker called MJ. Take a look at us working hard…
Lower Post 16 have been practising more life skills. This week making toast and spreading it with butter and jam.
In our Life skills sessions we've been practicing how to make a cup of tea safely.
A huge 'Thank you' to Ridgeway School association and also to all the staff and customers of Dunelm, Bedford who so kindly provided the students with so many lovely Christmas gifts. As you can see from the photos they were very well received!
Wishing you all a lovely, peaceful Christmas.
See you in 2022!
We all enjoyed a delicious Christmas dinner.
Thanks to Laura and Emma in the kitchen for our delicious food.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Lower Post 16 have been making their own Christmas crackers.
Children in Need fun!
Lower Post 16 have been getting our hedgehog house ready. We're keeping our fingers crossed that one will move in soon!
We've pegged the house down securely so it doesn't blow away, covered it in plastic to keep it waterproof, camouflaged it with twigs and leaves, put straw inside and left food and water by the entrance.
We had an wonderful time at our MacMillan coffee morning. A big thank you to everyone who donated cakes or money to this brilliant cause.
