Every week in Lower Post 16 we cook our own lunch. Some of us prepare sandwiches, salads and a pudding and the rest of us prepare a hot meal and pudding. At the moment we are learning how to cook Spaghetti Bolognese and Apple Crumble with Custard. We usually work in 2 groups with one using the cookery room and the other group working in the kitchen over at our bungalow. We check the recipe the day before and make a list of all the ingredients we need and then go shopping. Once in the shop we have to find all the ingredients ourselves and ask shop staff if we need any help. We then use our money skills to pay for our shopping.
Our performance at The Trinity Arts Centre Bedford. Thank you so much to everyone who came to support the students who were, as always, completely amazing!

Further details will be available nearer the time but please keep the date free if possible as students would love their families to attend.
Well done to Lower Post 16 for a very successful enterprise project. The students planned their own pop up ice cream parlour with luxury ice creams for the adults and cones for the students. They gathered resources, researched ingredients then designed the luxury ice creams, made shopping lists, shopped for ingredients then honed their money and customer service skills on the day. Thank you very much to Franco's Ices for their support in providing containers and spoons.
