The children in Green Class are all working on their language and communication skills so here are some helpful pointers about how you can support at home when talking to your children or sharing a story.

Life Skills recording sheet. It would be great if you could encourage your child to improve their self help skills whilst at home.
The children have been working hard in their Maths lessons.
Green Class are learning about Judaism. This week they made the special Seder plates.
Green Class have had an amazing day out at West Lodge Farm. We got to feed lots of animals and even see some week old lambs!
We had great fun feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs. Thank you Mrs Roy!
Christmas party 2019... fun, friends, dancing, and a special guest!
All the children performed amazingly in our Christmas performance of Noisy Nativity - well done to all involved.
An excellent afternoon was had by all at Milton Keynes Theatre pantomime. Thank you Happy Days for your donation!
Green Class visited Father Christmas today and then had lunch at the Brewer’s Fayre.
We have a lovely Post Office role play in our class this week. The children have enjoyed this so we decided to write our own letters, walk to the real post office and buy some stamps. We then posted the letters and are waiting for them to arrive at our houses!
Children In Need 2019
We have been learning about Plants in Science, so we decided to go to the garden centre to buy our own plants. We are going to look after them and plant them in our class Fairy Garden.

Our book this week has been The Snail and The Whale by Julia Donaldson. We were even lucky enough to meet some real African land snails!
Looking at symmetry and pattern in maths...
Practising our subtraction in maths. We like to use different resources and ways to find the answers.
Making Diya Lamps for Diwali
We have looked at maps and road names today. We made our own map of the local area and went on a walk to help us label each road.
A fun Halloween party full of smiles!
Maths is great fun in Green Class... lots of Halloween themed counting practice today.
The children have been working hard with their phonics skills. Some children are learning the letter sounds, and some are beginning to build and read their own words.
As part of our Topic Work we looked at builders and construction sites. The children practiced being builders and made their own buildings.
Green Class had a great visit to the fire station in Kempston. Thank you to all the firefighters who gave up their time to show us around.
We have done some great colour mixing .
As part of the local area topic and our science work we visited the local allotments on a vegetable hunt.
We are learning about our local area. As part of our topic we visited Lena and Luca’s fish and chip shop in Kempston. The children bought their own lunch.
We have been reading another Julia Donaldson book called Freddie and the Fairy. We made some fairy mud. It was very squidgy.
Today we visited the Bedfordshire Police Headquarters in Kempston. We had a great morning and learnt a lot about how the local police help us and support our community. A huge thank you to Inspector Goldsmith for the tour!
Green class are taking part in Forest School this term. They have been busy already.
Today we have explored our local area. We found out what was sold in a butchers and a bakers, and looked at other local businesses. Our exploration ended in a stop at the cafe where all the children ordered and paid for their own snacks! They were all fantastic and remembered their manners... one proud teacher here!!
The children are back in Green Class with lots of smiles on their faces!
