Green class have been learning more about knights and castles. At Forest School they made bows and arrows. They also made some knights of their own.
Green Class had a brilliant time at Warwick Castle.
As part of our work on Knights and Castle we have been looking at different ways to defend and attack a castle. The children have had fun making their own armour with sword and shields, learning about archery, and using catapults (including our large catapult filled with water bombs!!)
A huge thank you to Gumbles Amusements for inviting us to their funfair. The children had a fantastic time; they haven't stopped smiling all day!
Happiness at horse riding!
Fun with phonics!! We have all developed our phonics and early reading skills in Green Class...
We have a new class pet... a tortoise named Al. So far Al has had a bath and been given plenty of fresh food. I think he will be a very pampered pet!!
Our topic for the Summer term will be Knights and Castles. We have enjoyed some role play already!
Let's go fly a kite....
World Book Day 2019
We had a great trip to the RSPB in Sandy. We walked to the bird hides and used our binoculars to identify some of the birds. We saw lots of beautiful wildlife and signs of Spring.
Our tennis lessons at Riverside Tennis Club have begun. They are great fun and our tennis skills are starting to improve already!
In ICT we have been using the Beebots to create simple algorithms.
Our Spring Term topic is Weather and Seasons. We have looked at the weather throughout each season.
We have all enjoyed keeping fit, using the balance bikes, trikes and scooters. We showed we were listening to instructions such as 'stop', 'go', and 'slow down'.
We did a fantastic assembly about advent.
On Mondays we look at our shopping lists and count out our money ready for a walk to the Supermarket. We are getting good at using the self checkouts and paying for our items. In the afternoon we then cook using the ingredients that we have just bought.
In maths we have been looking at numbers to 15, addition and 2D shapes...
Every morning we get ready for learning by completing our sensory circuits.
Mini beast hunting at Marston Forest Centre... we had a great time!
This term our topic is Mini beasts. Here are some of the books that we will be looking at...
