Early Years Archive: 2017-2018

Humanities Week - we learnt about African Culture and focused on the story of Handa's Surprise.

The lovely Rotary Club members organised and supported a trip to Whipsnade Zoo.

We have been learning about repeating patterns. We made pictures and built some towers too.

Gallone's ice cream parlour was definitely a hit with Red Class!

We have been learning about road safety. We liked going for local walks to find safe places to cross the road.

Red Class have really been enjoying cookery sessions. We have made lots of different sweet and savoury dishes - and will even attempt to make some ice cream this week to 'sell' in our ice cream parlour role play area! Here we are using our communication skills when cooking a pasta dish...

Our Summer term Topic is The Seaside! So far we have been sharing lots of great stories about the seaside and what is living under the sea. We have also been having fun making an octopus!

For World Book Day we dressed up as book characters.

We had a visit from some exotic animals.

Our topic this term is Transport. We will be taking part in lots of activities related to different sorts of transport.

Some of us went to Bedford on the bus.

We counted the number of each colour car in the car park.
