Blue Class

On the 30th June we went to Mead Open Farm. We had a wonderful day feeding the lambs, stroking the rabbits and watching the Sheep Races!

8th June 2016. We had so much fun at Whipsnade Zoo, thanks to the Rotary Club.

We went to Buttons Ramsey to look at the different trees and flowers.

20th May 2016 What an exciting day! After a picnic at Ampthill Park we went to Louise and Calvin's wedding. It was a wonderful experience. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your special day.

Sports Relief 2016. We had a wonderful day trying out some new activities whilst raising money for Sports Relief!

Gung Hay Fat Choy! Our class assembly was all about the Chinese New Year. We acted out the Story of the Zodiac, performed a Dragon Dance with the wonderful dragon we made and gave out red envelopes containing special Chinese Good Luck messages to all the classes.

Our numeracy focus for January was money. We have been using the whiteboard to play interactive games exploring coins and values. Playing shopping and bingo games with real coins has helped us to practise making different amounts and calculating change from 10p. 

In Science we are learning about ourselves and our senses. Whilst learning about sight we had lots of fun experimenting with coloured glasses, mirrors, magnifying glasses and special lenses.

We had a wonderful day in Milton Keynes. We saw all the beautiful decorations, made Reindeer food, visited Father Christmas and had lunch at BHS. It was a mad dash back to school - got there just in time to enjoy the Christmas Fayre! It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

27th November. After listening to the story of Hanukkah, we made some special Challah bread. It smelt DELICIOUS when it was cooked!

20th November. We have been learning about Diwali in RE. We listened to the story of Rama and Sita and then used coloured rice to make beautiful Rangoli patterns.

6th November - We went on an Autumn Scavenger Hunt at Addison Park. We loved watching the squirrels running around!

We had so much fun learning about Florence Nightingale and performing our assembly to the whole school!

We have been learning about Judaism. We have been exploring artefacts relating to Shabbat. We also found out about the Festival of Sukkot. We build a Sukkah and enjoyed our snack inside!

We had a lot of fun writing a poem about all our favourite things. We performed it to the whole school for National Poetry Day.

Art techniques. We learnt about Pointillism made famous by Georges Seurat. It is a technique using dots. We tried to make dots with paint and on the computer using the Paint program.

Science - September 2015


We are learning about the seasons and will be looking at the effect they have on trees. We enjoyed collecting and exploring different types of leaves and have taken photographs of trees so we can observe the changes over the year. 



Toffee and Fudge 


Red class have two new guinea pigs. We had a lovely time meeting them today! 

We are learning different techniques in Art , we listened to Handel's Water music and then made a seascape and drew waves.

Using touchscreen to make choices in ICT time.

We had a lot of fun acting out 'Little Red Hen' for our Harvest Festival. Afterwards we went to the Macmillan Coffee Morning and celebrated all our hard work with a piece of cake!
